Nainital
Nainital Introduction :
Nainital is a popular tourist spot and features among the most sought-after sites in the Indian places. The city is fairly small and nestled amazingly well in the hills of Kumaon. It's a gorgeous hill station enclosed by mountains on three sides, and this aspect lures those who relish being in the midst of nature. A Britishers, named Lord Baron brought Nainital to the fore in 1841, and since then the city is on a roll in terms of tourists' influx. The erstwhile British administrator got thoroughly impressed by the weather, the nearby scenes and the tempting beauty of this area, and made Nainital their summer capital of the United Province. Nainital forever bustles with visitors for being a favourite tourist spot.

Sat Tal :
Sat Tal is about 25 km away, and a complex of seven natural lakes with good angling prospects.
Bhimtal :
Bhimtal is about 23 km away and even larger than Naini Lake with a good-looking island.
Naukuchiatal :
Naukuchiatal is 27 km away and an enormous nine-cornered lake, which is pristine and amusing with the gathering of migratory birds.
Naini Peak :
Naini Peak is about 6 km away and the highest point within Nainital that presents a splendid sight of the Himalayas.
Naini Lake :
Naini Lake is another trendy spot in the city which also comprises the modern Naina Devi Temple at the northern end of the lake.
How to reach Nainital :
Getting to Nainital is not tough at all as there are fine transportation and connectivity that leads one to the city. Air: The nearest airport from the city is Pantnagar at a distance of 71 kms away. Rail: The nearest railhead is Kathgodam, just about 40 kms from the city that maintains a viable connectivity to Agra, Lucknow and Bareilly by train. Road: Road connects the city to Delhi as well as with other towns in Uttar Pradesh.
Shopping in Nainital :
Shoppers feel a sense of pleasure while having the items of their choice amid the hills and natural charm. Nainital tempts a vast number of travellers who come here to visit and shell out money for their favourite local stuff. The city is fairly renowned for its candles, woollens items, woodcrafts and handicrafts. Mallital Bazar, Nallital Bazar, Tibetan Market and the markets near Naina Devi Temple are the shopping places that offer everything.
