Day 01 : Bangalore
Ashok India Travels welcomes you for your Classic Karnataka Tour with us. Our representative will receive you and escort you to the prebooked hotel, after a bit of relax start the sightseeing tour of Bangalore. The top attractions that you would visit are the Vidhan Sabha which is built in the rare Neo Dravidian style, flower attractions of Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, Palace of Tippu Sultan and Bangalore Palace. If time permits, you would be enjoying a few more attractions too. There would be a lot of shops and other hotspots for you to enjoy. You would reach your hotel by late evening, Overnight at your hotel in Bangalore
Day 02 : Bangalore - Srirangapatna - Somnathpura - Mysore (200 Kms / 05 Hours )
After breakfast, today drive to Mysore (Mysuru), 770 m above sea level, this imperial city was the erstwhile capital of the Wodeyars. On the way visit Srirangapatna, the Tipu's capital, First visit the Ranganathaswamy Temple Srirangapatna, then to Tipu's summer palace. After finishing the visit, visit Somnathpur temple. 45 km from Mysore, the temple, built in 1268 AD is known for its Hoysala architecture. The temple is seated on a star shaped base, set on a chiseled plinth and guarded at intervals by miniature elephants. The temple wall depicts scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagvata Gita. Later drive to Mysore, In the evening you are free to take a walk in the Devarajah Market where you can see the colorful flowers, fruits and vegetables, incense, perfumes and color powders. Day 03 : Mysore - Shravanbale Gola - Hassan (135 Kms / 03 Hrs)
After the breakfast, Have a visit to Mysore Maharaja Palace, a huge complex belongs to 19th century built by the Italian architect "Henry Irwin". There is also an audio guide in all languages. Mysore as we see today is most famous for the imposing Royal Palace with a magnificent Durbar Hall, particularly splendid during the Dussehra Festival when the Maharaja's jewellery, studded gold throne (weighing 200 kgs) is on display. Later drive to Hassan, On the way visit Shravanabelagola City. Visit the most popular Jain pilgrimage centre called "Shravanabelagola". This place is known for its 17m Colossal monolithic statue of Gomateshwara. Continue your drive to Hassan for Ovenight stay at your hotel in Hassan.
Day 04 : Hassan - Halebid - Belur - Hassan (85 Kms / 02 Hrs)
Today a day trip to Halebid and Belur. HALEBID - 16 km east of Belur and 27 km from Hassan, the Hoysaleswara Temple dating back to 12th century, is astounding for its wealth of sculptural detail. The walls of the temple are covered with an endless variety of gods and goddesses, animals, birds and dancing girls, Yet no two facets of the temple are the same. The magnificent temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, guarded by a Nandi Bull was never completed despite 86 years of labor. BELUR - Belur temple took over 103 years to build and is a classic example of the Hoysala style of architecture. From the base upwards, there is an extraordinary wealth of decorative detail; every available inch is crammed with intricate carvings. In one frieze, 650 elephants jostle one another in a continuous line. Many of the figures of full bosomed women depicted at Belur are believed to be portraits of King Vishnuvardhana's queen. Overnight at hotel in Hassan.
Day 05 : Hassan - Chitradurga - Hampi (320 Kms / 06 Hrs)
In the morning have a long drive to reach Hampi (Hospet). Enroute have a Historical Trip to visit the grand fortress named "Chitradurga" on the top of granite hills that raises from the ground. The period of the rule by different dynasties falls from 3th century to 19th century. Finally, the fort came under the rule of the Royal Mysore family. After the visit, continue your drive towards Hampi (Hospet). Overnight stay at your hotel in Hampi (Hospet).
Day 06 : Hampi
After breakfast, Today is a day for you to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Monuments Sites Trip in Hampi. Have a full day visit of Hampi "the capital of great Vijayanagara dynasty" which is situated 13 km from Hospet. The interesting places are Kadalekalu Ganesha Statue, Ugra Narasimha Statue, Krishna Temple, Hazara Rama Temple, Lotus Mahal, Stepped tank, Virupaksha Temple (the only functioning temple), Vittala Temple, the buildings of old bazaars, the Stone Chariot etc. Then return back to the hotel. One more night stay in Hampi (Hospet).
Day 07 : Hampi - Bangalore (340 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Today a long drive to reach Bangalore Kempegowda International Airport to take your International Flight for your further journey back to your country. You need to be at the airport 3 hours before your International flight departure time. We hope you will be ended up with Karnataka Trip with sweet memories. Have a nice Flight.
